IWC Parts - can new hands be sourced outside of the repair network?

My IWC 3706 FliegerChronograph needs new hands and a Non IWC repair centre says they have ordered some but they have no given lead time. Does anyone know if I am awaiting something that will not arrive?

I am a little reluctant to send the watch to IWC as they will want to give it a full service which its already had.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

In general, it's my understanding that IWC only supplies parts to its service network. It's very costly to maintain many thousands of parts for thousands of discontinued models, and the parts are needed for inhouse repairs. I suspect your wait will be in vain.
