This portfolio is an important new publication sponsored by IWC.

Michael Muller is a photographer who has produced a series of extraordinary prints about the Galapagos. IWC has published his work in a special edition. The images, offset printed on high gloss paper, are contained loose-leaf within a portfolio book, and can be independently framed if desired.

The box measures approximately 17 inches wide by 11 ½ inches high. Inside, there is a page introducing IWC and the Charles Darwin Foundation. The prints –over 20—then follow, each on separate sheets. Only the three show IWC watches, and only the last two have any commercial message. The rest on direct shots of the Galapagos, and excellent documentary photography.

This portfolio is remarkable for its quality of images and printing, and its lack of commercialization. A series of images from the portfolio that I quickly shot myself are these:

P.S. These are perfect for all fans of diving watches ---but sorry --I only have one copy and none to distribute as prizes. So far ;)

    Isn't this portfolio

the one that will be distributed along with the next WI magazine issue (only to subscribers) Michael?
There was a note on the last issue about this.

just a guess --perhaps on CD...

The printed images and box are large and heavy. Mailing a large number --tens of thousands-- would be very expensive, and not even fit relative to the dimensions of the magazine.

The beauty of these images, at least in the portfolio, is not just what they depict but how they're printed.

But I'm unsure as to what IWC's distribution plans are.

    Regards,
    Michael

Watch International from IWC - June 2009

has a DVD filmed by Gregoire Koulbanis and Michael Muller which takes viewers on a spectacular tour of the fascinating underwater world unique to the archipelago in the Pacific.

Integrated into the film is the new Aquatimer watch family from IWC.
