IWC Spitfire Chronograph

Hi All,
This beauty fell into my lap thru an auction. It sure looks real.  It's heavy looks like the real deal and i am hoping that its not a knockoff.  I gave  a little cleaning to wash away the dirt.
Can you identify the model number.  Is it the 3717 or the IW3706?. or another model number.
It looks like the pictures I've seen so I am thinking it is! Have a look at the picture. And any comments will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks Alex

Looks more like a 3717-05 .. but i dont recognize the case back or the crown... but i could be wrong...

I’m thinking 3706.
Due to “Der Fliegerchronograph” script and Fish Crown. 
What diameter is it? 3706 should be 39mm. 

3717 has Fliegeruhur on the caseback, and is 42mm. 

IMO...the dial looks totally fake....but I am no expert for sure.

The diameter is 39mm so its a IW3706. 
Hope its not a fake.  Maybe i should send it to IWC? I followed the winding instructions and it seems the 30 revolutions of the crown gives you 40hrs of tictocs.

I am not an expert here either, but the dial gives me pause.  Hope it's okay.

I dont think you have a fake.. there were 2 spitfier 3706 at 39mm and 3717 at 42mm...
*assuming the picture was taken on a mobile phone and the reflection from the glass just distorts some of it..

ps; not sure if you will get the famouse wabble when you try shaking the watch.. that would be the 7750 movement.. Sure hope you dont have a fake!

It appears that the watch is a genuine 370628 Spitfire chronograph. The photos taken of images on a computer screen is what is causing the dial to look strange.

I did take the picture with cell phone and the cell phone picture does not show th exact colour.  I also shook it and got the Wabble!  All the signs point to the real deal. Thanks again

To me it looks OK at first sight. It's the 3706 39 mm first spitfire that was launched under the helm of Georges Kern I think in 2002, maybe one of his first watch decisions. The first picture looks strange because of digital graining. But the watch and the bracelet looks alright to me.

I checked the case number and it said " The case was most probably produced resp. delivered around 2003. "

3706 Spitfire. You can find easily the same model in better condition, on Chrono24 for example.
