Dear Forumners,
I received today in the mail the Feb. '09 issue of the independent IW (International Watch) magazine.
Glancing through it I found a section called: The IW Guide - Perpetual Calendars. It contains photos, descriptions, and prices for about 30 different brands and models with prices starting at $13, 000 all the way up to $463,000.
After a quick evaluation of all things considered I reached a conclusion that the above shown IWC model, [i]IW376204[i], is the best bang for its price for perpetual calendar chronograph timepieces exhibited in the magazine luxury sector.
The correct price listed in the 2008 US price list for the stainless steel timepiece on a strap is $24,000 not $13,000 as listed in the magazine which happens to be the price for a similar model IW376403 chrono without the perpetual calendar.
How IWC can bring to market such complicated timepieces at their low prices is a credit to the company and definitely something to think about when in the market to purchase a perpetual calendar watch.
Regards,
Jack Freedman
