Just paid a deposit on the St Ex UTC SS. I am very excited hopefully it won't take too long to get the baby in. It'll make a real nice edition to the Laureus Pilot and the 40 mm Inge.

One question general to IWC straps-are they sized the same across the board, in that the 3rd hole on big pilot strap fits the same sized wrist as the 3rd hole on a Pilot Chrono?

If so I may need to find an OEM strap or bracelet as I had comfort issues with the Laureus strap and eventually went bracelet-which really enhances the watch IMHO.

    strap sizes

don't think the straps are the same size across the board.
i have 2 portugeisers that are relatively new (this year) and both straps are different. different widths as well.
    michael might know?

I thought the issue is more watch size...

The straps are pretty much the same dimensions for models that use the same width straps. That is, a regular size 22mm strap should have the strap holes in about the same place.

However, here he was asking about how straps would fit given watches with watchheads of different size --I would think the buckles then generally would work on different-placed holes.

    Thanks all

I tried on the Chrono Top Gun, which I think is the same lug size and that fit better than my original 3717 croc strap. I am just excited to get the piece though, I will figure out something! It is a beauty.

    A brief note on straps

For some reason the straps for the big da vinci fit the port chrono (according to size, I haven't tried it) but are not listed anywhere near the portuguese in either the catalogue or the online service pages.

    • Just a quick reflection. I might have misunderstood the thread.
