i just realised that in my haste to put it on after taking it out of the box, i hadn't adjusted the time nor the date before taking the picture. On the bright side, I now have a pictorial record of when it was (most likely - leaving aside the power reserve) last running before being boxed up.

Would anyone know which year's catalog this model appears in? I can't find it in the current 2012/2013 catalog and I'm thinking of tracking one a catalog that does.

Now off to hunt for a copy of the 2007 catalogue.
As Shing points out, 2007 was the "DaVinci" lineup where we saw the DaVinci Perpetual Calendar Edition Kurt Klaus introduced. I'm traveling and don't have catalogs with me - but in 2007, I believe there were only 2 variants in the catalog: Platinum and Rose Gold. The Stainless Steel variation was not introduced until the next year.
