A mere 16-hour layover in London while enroute back home to Chicago from a European trip, and yet our venerable leader Michael was gracious enough to join us for a mini get-together.

    *

Up bright and early, waiting to catch the overground train to our meeting place... the morning sunshine put a very nice glow on my gtg members's card.

Arriving at St Pancras station... opened in 1868.

(Yes, that's the same year that a certain watch manufacturer opened in Schaffhausen)...

Over breakfast and some good conversation...

it was a chance to (of course) admire each other’s watches.

    And finally, their owners.

    Greg, myself, Michael, and Ralph.

Gentlemen, a pleasure meeting you… and a very nice first ever IWC get-together for me.

    Best wishes,
    Thang

Ralph, I think the interior of your house is great looking, especially the tile floors and the red walls.
I'll bet you guys had a great time- and nice watches, too!

    Nice! GTG's are always fun.
Nelson, I think that is Greg's house. Ralph's is in Buckingham Palace.

GTG's, whether in NYC or elsewhere in the world, rule! It's a significant benefit of being part of this community, at least for me. We'll have a mini GTG in Philadelphia next week at the IBG presentation by Jeff Kingston /WatchTime Magazine. Regrettably, IWC will miss it this year.

Great GTG, Thang. It appears a good time was had by all! It was also an impressive array of IWC's in that group shot!

On another note: I will miss the gang in Philly for the Jeff Kingston presentatation. Dorothy and I send our fondest regards!!!

    Thang -

Your first GTG? That's a surprise considering how much you've posted over the past year on the Forum!

    Great report!

    I missed this post!

It was a delight to meet up with MF, Thang and Greg. Thang must take the credit for the venue. My first visit to the recently refurbished St Pancras hotel. Well worth a visit for anyone in London, particularly if you are killing time before boarding the Eurostar.
