Looking for Infos about this watch!

I am looking for any kind of Infos about this watch, which is a family
heirloom. As far as I know everything is original except the wristband. Any
information such as model, year, value is much appreciated. Thanks a lot in

Caliber 89 most likely, which was produced from 1946 - 1976

Hi Joe,

the watch is most probably made between 1943 and 1947. It is equiped with a
Caliber 60, which is a movement of 23.35mm diameter and 4.15mm in height. Cal
60 comes with 16 jewels and a Breguet overcoil hairspring. This is an early
center second movement still without a shock protection on the balance axle.
It is the improved successor of caliber 61 which was the first center second
wrist watch movement of IWC.

a similar watch (same case and movement) is beeing offered on a swiss online
auction platform currently.
