Recently I bought this pair of father and son until I read somewhere in the internet that I am able to purchase another son's watch from IWC given only if you have two son(Children). I need advise whether this info I received is true or is there anyone who is willing to sell me a son's watch.

    Best regards

Hi Adrian, welcome to the forum.

my understanding is that purchasing a Father and Son set from the IWC boutiques will entitle you buy to additional Son's Mark XVIs (and I don't think they verify whether u have additional children, or even more so their specific gender).

This is only my understanding, and from the boutiques, and in Hong Kong and Singapore - the policy may differ city to city. Authorized dealers - well I'm not sure at all - my own experienced tells me unscrupulous dealers will say whatever they wish to cover up their inability to get (the correct) supply.

    corrections welcome from other forummers.

I thought the son watch had to be engraved with a name?

I Bought the watch from Cologne watch center, Germany. However, the card given is both unwritten. I had already sent my email to IWC but I got no reply from them since last week.

Hi Adrian, two separate issues here in my opinion, on the warranty, and the purchasing of additional Son's Mark XV:

    a) if you bought from an authorized dealer, then your watch set should come with full international warranty. The guarantee card may be 'unwritten', but still be valid - is the Authorized Dealer's stamp on it? ( it may not always have a signature), are the model reference number, and the casing serial number, imprinted on it, or written on it (I have seen both instances) ?

    b) on whether you can buy more than one Son's Mark XV, if that dealer is not now geographically accessible (being too far away), I don't think it is logistically or economically feasible to order more Mark XVs, so it renders how correct their policy of not selling more Son's watch moot (please feel free to correct me). But if you do look around you online may find some dealers selling the Son's Mark XV (since this is very new - perhaps some time in the near future this could be sold), but as this forum is non-commercial, 'what to buy' posts and external commercial links are not allowed.

@ Alan, I think the additional Son's Mark XV, indeed the set, need not be engraved -- all up to the buyer.

The card is unwritten. Just like a new card. I have search all over the internet. Hopefully IWC reply me with good news. If things does not work out, Im looking forward to buy the whole set again.
