Hello, I have a small Pilot watch which I bought in Cape Town 6 months ago, which I love. I moved to Singapore 2 weeks ago and recently my watch has been stopping.

When I notice I give it a shake and it starts again. I do wind it. Any tips? should I take it to an authorised dealer in Singapore, or is there something I am missing?

I suggest you check out a posting by Jack Freedman "Misdiagnosing Symptoms of a Timepiece" January 11th 2012, in which Jack explains that regular automatics often do not get enough movement from the wearer during normal use, and can do with a hand wind of 40 turns.
