Twenty years ago, when I was a student, I would gaze into the shop window of my local Watches of Switzerland and every time be taken aback at the Mark XIIs. So simple. So clear. So expensive! I have just - finally - found a Chronograph version here in Australia and it is like new. I have it on now. Original strap barely worn and wonderfully comfortable, fabulous dial, perfect 36mm size (everything's surely got too big nowadays), and of course very sophisticated (if maligned by many for not being automatic) meca-quartz movement. It is everything I remembered from 1995. Except I can't remember the very thing that prevented from me buying one then - the new price. Can anyone tell me what it was (in any currency!)? Thanks, Mark

Don't believe they ever made a quartz Mark XII. There are several "replica" XII's out there.

I think Mark is referring to Ref 3741 Mecaquartz Flieger Chronograph.
A very nice watch from the 90s
