A few weeks ago I seen in the forum a member nicely showing the "Mark XVI son leather strap" on his Pilots chrono 371701. In my opinion this did not look so good since there is too much space in the lugs left after installation. Prior to that I had actually looked for a BP-like bracelet for my 3717 chrono as well and met with no success. Therefore as a compromise and to keep my girlfriend sweet (she loves the rivets in the BP strap) I ordered the "Mark XVI son leather strap" to put on to my Mark XVI (regular). I have to say that I really like it. Installation with the Collectors Meeting 2007 Wenger Swiss Army Knife was a piece of cake and here is the result. I know purists will find it unnecessary to replace the original strap and I did have my reservations - but once I have seen the result I am very happy.

    What do you think ?

    Andrew

    I like it

It is like the watch grows with it. Furthermore I like black watches with a brown strap: I don't know exactly why but it makes the watch look more relaxed, and vintage too, certainly when the strap looks a bit older.

    Looks nice

I had thought about doing this when my OEM strap gives up the ghost. Looks good, although the photos are a wee bit darkish.

    Forgot to mention

I like your one but last picture, with that seldom seen paper watch with a black leather strap.

    It looks great!

I did get a similar style strap (although not IWC) for my St Ex Chrono and have never regretted that choice.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    I think it looks great...

I also think that a brown buffalo would also look good on it.
Good choice though. It definitely adds a vintage look to it.

    Cheers,
    Evan
