    Hello -
I have a new Aquatimer 376711 which I believe has an ETA 7750 movement. I've read a couple of conflicting accounts about modifications (if any) by IWC. Some accounts say they are heavily modified by IWC and set to "higher standards" (not sure what that means). Other accounts say the movements are finished by ETA these days and not modified at all. Just curious which view is correct? Thanks. BTW, I'm just curious about this as I could not be happier with the watch; it's brilliant.

This is a good read for when IWC actually touched the 7750 ... These days the movement is completely assembled by ETA .. I believe ETA has just adopted a lot of IWC's modifications in their top grade ETA movements now .. I could be wrong with that, but, that's my understanding..

Good reading! Now I finally know why my 3712-07 has a cal76240... and where the number actually comes from!
