With the leaves starting to fall off the trees in the garden the seasons are changing and I was thinking about the IWC watch that graced my wrist the most over this summer period.

For me it was the Aquatimer Cousteau Divers. A terrific all round sports watch. This watch accompanied me on 1,446 km of cycling with my Trek Madone cycle over the summer period, visited 5 different countries and through that didnt lose a minute.....

What was your favourite summer 2009 watch?

    Andrew

I have to give an ex aequo

As summer is associated foremost with holiday, most vivid in my mind is the start of my last one, where I bought the steel VC Pilot's watch. I subsequently wore that watch every day, except the few hours we walked in the mountains: that was titan Inge time. But summer started earlier, and almost at the start of it I bought the watch I am wearing right now, and I wore that one almost every day until the holiday started. It is tough, a photo finish, and I cannot choose. And why should I?

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing rose gold VC Portuguese

    Summer of 2009

As it was a cooler summer in Northeast I wore my steel VC Pilot most of the time followed by the Top Gun Doppler.

    Hey, another VC Pilot's watch?

That's great, I love that watch and hope others like it too. Are there other VC Pilot's watch owners here?

    Kind regards,
Paul, wearing rose gold VC Portuguese

I've been wearing a few in rotation >>

5001 and Portuguese Regulateur mostly at work. These remain favorite business watches for me.
    The VC Aquatimer on weekends.

But now I have another watch fighting for wrist time! Had it been here sooner it would have been on my wrist a lot this summer.
But then there is autumn too LOL.

    It gets hot early...

and stays hot (37-40 degrees C for 65 days this summer) into October in Texas. Most leather straps don't stand up very well to the prolonged heat. I found my Mark XVI Spitfire on a bracelet got the most of wrist time. By the way, Andrew....great shot of you in the cool hat, "at the wheel!"

    Best regards,
    Jim

This will probably not surprise you..

I have often mentioned that the Inge 3227 is a favorite and with the steel bracelet, water resistance, anti magnetic case and shock resistance it get's plenty of wrist time!

Most popular Summer IWC - ING Ti

With its ti bracelet, it's one of the most versatile watch to spend the summer, as Clement pointed out.

Now, fall time call for the return of the strap.

These two come to mind >>>

I prefer a bracelet to a strap in hot weather and the chrono function is ideal for timing the BBQ. I had these out more often than not....
