Tonight it is my first full moon night with a double moon watch. It is a kind of very special feeling and I thought I share that with you:

Obviously I should not forget my very nice single moon watch today:

I'd love to see your moon pics of tonight.
    Enjoy the full moon.

    Cheers,
    Giovanni

Alas, Giovanni, too much cloud over my house, so I can't compete. Previous outbreaks of lunacy ...

Beautiful watches and pictures Giovanni. Unfortunatly it's completely clouded here so this older picture is all I have now:

I do know that I will stay up until midnight to see the date change from September 30 to October 1st!

Wow, while I wrote this reply, Ralph added a few great pictures too!

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Hmm, it looks like the moon loves to be in the center of attention! I just looked out again and the sky was clear!

So here are a few new pictures. The first two are from the night after the wonderful GTG so indeed, I went to bed after 2 o'clock!

And here two pics I just took outside. It's funny to see that the moon looks much larger without using the flash:

Thanks all, great posts. Still early enough for some of the East Coasters to post theirs. Looking forward to more.

    Regards,
    Kevin

I just watched the date change proces. It started a bit earlier than I expected. When I looked at my watch at 23:50, the date had already moved from 30 to 31,5 and the day had changed a quarter or so, just like the month.

The month change was completed at 23:56. The day changed together with the moon disk at 0:03:25.

It's such an amazing thing to witness!

    Kind regards,

    Clemens
