    Hi All,

    Good day to everyone.
I just bought my first IWC 371417 (Portuguese chrono).
When I checked the warranty card, the article no. is IW371446.
I'm curious why the article number is different?

    Can anyone shed some light?

Hi CWK, can I suggest you clarify this point with your authorized dealer immediately?

I don't think there is a 371446, although an internet search shows one or two sites selling this reference. The Workbooks also do not reveal such a reference (but Workbooks also do not show special editions, which yours is not I believe).

The other possibility is 371446 is a superceded model, available for only a very short time, and identical in look to 371417 (perhaps a slightly different movement, or even height) - I am speculating here, and I doubt this is the case.

Actually the Ref no. 371446 does exist and it's for the Portuguese Chrono with folding buckle. Is your watch with the folding buckle or pin buckle?

My 371446 is with a folding buckle. But i'm just curious why it doesn't appear in the catalogue.

Now this is where the Weeber machine would have been so useful if it was updated or done by IWC. On what I see on the Weeber site there is no deployment strap listed but both pin and deployment buckle are shown.

It doesn't because it is new in the market and actually you've got a better packa
ge as it cost more to upgrade to folding buckle, cheers!
