    Perfect choice Santosoa, congrats.
You have a lot of options concerning of variety of straps and further IWC pilot watches :).
I would go for a fold clasp with the leather strap, it is very easy to handle and comfortable and for an additional steel bracelet. So you have a suitable strap for all seasons.
The IWC pyramide bracelet is the most comfortable steel bracelet of all brands to wear, IMHO :).

I am over the moon since! just can't get over it at the moment. And to make it something a little bit more special, I purchase my first IWC at 12022012 :)

    cheers,

Congratulations. You finally made it (right). ;-)
A beautiful watch. I love mine. My wife too. ;-)
You can wear it on the bracelet as well if you want to have a robust hot, allweather and water watch. It works great even with swimming in the sea water. I proved that several times now.
    Enjoy and stay around here.

    Santosoa,

Great choice, congrats, I know it is the first of many IWCs, its a sickness for which (thank God) they (mostly our wives) have not found a cure for. LOL.
    Wear it in good health.
    Regards,
    Kevin

    Hi Alvin
Congratulation! I myself think that you made an excellent decision.
Great timepiece you`ve chosen - I really love it. It is one of the watches I like very much. My only problem with watches from IWC is, I like them all :-)).

And I wish you that you will wear it every day where ever you are - until you got your next IWC - than you have to wear them alternating :-).

    Cheers

Congrats SANTOSOA! It's great to see how helpful this forum is and how much thought you put into the purchase. Love the pics, post more :)

I don't have a chrono yet, been wondering if I should ("need") get one. Looking at your pics of the watch, I'm now thinking even more...

Great choice - either watch would not be wrong, but the Pilot is more suited for both casual, and office wear.

and yes, you can have lots of fun in seeking and changing out the bracelt with a variety of straps, as you say.

You will love this watch. Wear it in good health.

    Best regards
    Mark

    Dear all,
i am also new in this forum and I am reading all comments and reaction to Sandosoa "problem"..:-) which ahs been solved. I perfectly understand it, as I was recently solvinng the same problem - to make the right choice. As I am bit crazy and influenced by flying, I am always looking for watches, having some links to that activities. Finally I bought IWC UTC model A. Saint Exupery. Having also bit same problem, how, where and for which occassion to wear it, what colleagues will say, etc... Finally I decided not to care at all! This is our life, our money, our choice and our love what we all have to enjoy in good health!
Santosoa, enjoy it and have a fun with your pilot wathch and use it whenever and wherever you like!
I am occassionally wearing my other pilot watches, like Breitling Super Avenger or B1, or even old Longines from 1937, made for our army pilots.

Best regards to all of you from Czech Rep and have a great fun with your love, understand watches...:-)

Congrats and an awesome choice going into the year of the pilot :)

While the AT may have been more versatile for your climate, the pilot will literally be a classic your entire life should you choose to keep it that long. It definitely has more longevity from a style perspective, even though I also love the AT2000.

Not I must warn you.. Be VERY careful operating any sort of motor vehicle for the next few weeks.. You'll be constantly looking at your watch which could create some danger :)
