    Aloha all!

Admittedly I'm a little biased in favor of the Big Pilot watch but how about a ceramic or PVD steel case with the old BP 5002 dial and hands?

-No individual numbering and no special engraving to keep costs down.

-50 pieces with allocation to be decided by MF and Schaffhausen.

That's my idea and here are some pics of the prototype.

    Tracy

Ir is at least a beautiful design.
But I am in favor of a model at the entry price level so it could be acquired from as many collectors as possible.
Also in favor of individual personalization on case backs.

The reason for personalization on the first Collectors Forum watch was not only to make it special but to inhibit resales. I think both make sense.

    Hi Tracy, Argiris and Michael,

I think the design of your 'prototype' is awesome and I have always admired the Big Pilot.
I do however, agree with Argiris in being in favour of a watch at the entry level price so that it can be acquired by as many collectors as possible.
I adore my watch and am passionate about the IWC brand and this unique idea and my thought is that if its an entry level price I could afford it too and be part of this!

And to your point Michael, you don't have to worry about a resale here, once I am owning an IWC it is not leaving my possession!

    Thanks for listening,

    Thomas

Very nice design and pictures! A Big Pilot of some sort is high on my "wanted list"

Regarding the engraving and allocation, I respectfully disagree. I think the watch should unite, not divide the forum community. Therefore, I hope that all forum members willing to purchase a forum watch would also have a chance to do so. Having said that, a wide allocation could have an unwanted consequence of traders purchasing forum watches just for commercial interests. An individual engraving makes the watches less interesting for traders, and therefore I support it.

MF, and both reasons still very valid!

    I concur.

    Best regards

    Tracy,

the design is great and the watch is beautiful!
The only problem it will be the price level..agree with Argi.

Make sense and IMHO both are essential to the next CFx, whatever and whenever it may happen.

    I agree with... Everybody! :)

It's a nice watch, although not my cup of tea - sorry Tracy :)

I'd prefer either something different, affordable (and wearable, being 46mm an issue to me) to a vast majority with the only constraint to have the in-house movement.

Since it's just for dreaming, my first choice, regardless the price, would be a ref. 3714 with cal. 89360 inside. I'm terribly boring, I know :(

At the risk of sounding like a broken record...
Existing line watch, below $10k US, dial variation, individual engraving. Everything else is probably wishful thinking.

And Tracy, your design is nevertheless terrific!

Tracy, really like the watch and it would make a perfect limited edition for one of the boutiques, but I can't support it for "our" watch for the reasons MF and others have stated.
    Regards,
    Kevin

For size, for my own taste and for cost I would pass as a BP much as I admire the watch is not for my wrist no matter what it cost. Sorry.

Alan, not a broken record - but pure fact. So why not this watch with the a custom dial, and individual engraving.

..and Tracy, I do like you design though.

I would love this one as a CF watch.
I would go for it even if it is "only" 43mm.
    Mark: +1

Great design but I think sticking to SS is a better option for most. It would seem that coming up with a watch and design that all agree with is going to be tough. The only real agreement seems to be:
    Entry level - SS
    Personalized
Open for purchase to whomever is interested

The complicated part - no consensus
    The design/model????
    Dial color????
    Strap???
