I would like to ask for some help. Recently i bought a vintage IWC, but i've been unable (for already 3 months) to figure out what is the reference.
Looks like - the New Portugieser vintage
Case to case 34mm, lug to lug -42.5mm

Serial number - case 1118400 MOvement 1084762, case and basel 18k
It's a caliber 83 from 1944 or 1945. A very beautiful and classy dresswatch. Congratulations!

There's a number missing in Bill's input for the case number. The case is also from the 1940ies.

I corrected the case nubmer in Date Your IWC.
With the fact that this is IWC calatrava Cal83 - i tried to find similar watches, but virtually all Cal83 IWC are with arab numbers and indices, but i could't find Roman dial at all. Any idea why this cal doesn't come with Roman numbers?
