    Hello,

we have acquired a vintage IWC from our grandparents and would learn more about it.
They told us they bought it in Davos / Switzerland at CHRIST Uhren & Schmuck.

This watch did come with information on the movement inside that may be helpful. A back cover is missing.
There is a JAPANESE MIYOTA 1L32 movement inside.

If you could please help us shortly with a name, possible age, value, we would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you for your help.

    King regards,
    smkkkk

Hello, I can not see the pictures, but from what you are writing about the movement, I really believe this is not a genuine IWC.

    Hello,
the pictures confirm that this is a fake IWC with no value at all, sorry to say. I hope your grandparents did not pay much for this.

... it could not be a fake. This is from our grandparents.
They told us they bought it in Davos / Switzerland at CHRIST Uhren & Schmuck.

Why you think it is fake exactly?

Sadly they are gone. We do not know what is the value of this item.
We could not find not any related papers.

Maybe it makes sense to go to a qualified IWC concessionaire.

If you could please help us shortly with a model name, possible age, we would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you very much,
    smkkkk

Why do you insist on believing this is a genuine IWC. It certainly is a Fake. Take the work of our moderator on this one.

It is probably a fake because IWC did not make quartz watches using Japanese movements.

You can certainly go to a dealer if you wish, but please do not be disappointed if they tell you the same.

He was probably hoping to sell it for big bucks (euros) on flea bay.

I do find it funny when someone asks for your opinion (asking experts in this case) and then argues with the answer. Strange.

Smoke, you can ask others all day and you might find someone ill-informed to give you the answer you want to hear. But this watch is 100% fake. The movement was never used by IWC, the font on the dial differs (especially on the word Schaffhausen), the buckle differs, and so on. This watch was not made in Switzerland and not sold by Christ. Sorry.
