    Hi all ,

    I just bought a BP5004-1, please advise.

About 8 years i happen to have a feel on a BP (Not sure is 5002 or 5004).I can feel the vibration of the movement when i holding it , but when i bought this BP5004-1, i cant feel any..According the shop people, it is due the different in slower beat and faster beat on the two model.

I am new to BP, please advise

    Thank you very much

Hi RoyTan30, welcome to the forum:

The difference in beats for the various models can be found here - note that there are two editions of the 5002:
    www.fliegeruhr.ch/gf_5002.htm
    www.fliegeruhr.ch/gf_5004.htm

ref 5002 which also came originally with a 'fish crown' - 18 000 vibrations per hour - 2.5 Hz (IWC IWC 5011 and 50110)
    ref 5002 'transitional' - 21 600 vibrations per hour - 3 Hz (IWC 51 110)
    ref 5004 - 21 600 vibrations per hour - 3 Hz

while it is true that the ref 5002 transitional and the ref 5004 beats faster than the original ref 5002, I don't think the 0.5 Hz increase in frequency makes the difference between physical detection of the vibration or not -- for that you would need a vibrograph machine or time-lapse photograph (I may be wrong here -- corrections welcome). More likely, the vibration you are feeling is not the vbh, but the rotor which winds the movement. You might be able to hear it as well. It's normal and not a concern.

So it is normal that I can not feel the vibration from BP5004 as to compare to BP 5002 ?

Thank you for all the advise
