Am really hesitating between white, black or blue dial on stainless steel model (portofino hand-wound 8 days)... I know it is ultimately a question of personal preference, but would nonetheless love your input:

    1. which colour dial do you like the most?

    2. do you own this model and if so what colour did you choose and would you make the same selection today.

    Thanks.

i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj79/BloemenPA/imagejpg4_zpsec5f1bd7.jpgThree and a half years ago I chose the white dial version: it was summer, and that dial fitted the summer holiday atmosphere better. More important, the very faint champagne white colour fitted very nicely the cool round polished case, giving the watch a very elegant appearance. Perfect for work and classy leasure.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Black would definitely not be an option for me.
The blue or white could both be considered.
The white is more classic, the blue is very nice and has the sunray pattern which I love. But I'll soon get the Big Pilot Little Prince with the blue sunray dial. So the white is fantastic.

There is no luminous material with that watch so you have little chance of reading a dark faced dial for so many hours. So that limits the choice even further than Tilo suggests, if, and only if that would be an issue for you.

    Hi Mike,

I have the white dial which, to me, is a more dressy version.

In my opinion the darker dials give it a bit more of a sporty look

As you say, it really depends on your preference

    Regards

    Peter

I, personally, feel that the white dial doesn't have the same "pop" as the sunray black or sunray blue. I don't have any problems reading dark dials, but I am fortunate to have quite good eyesight at this point in time. I like that the black and white dials have matching-colored date windows. I do like the blue, nonetheless, yet would prefer it on the dark brown strap. For me, the winner is the black sunray dial with the dark brown Santoni strap - simply gorgeous!

The blue dial looks terrific to me…. Perhaps some one has a real pic of it.

    Kind regards, Daniel

Thanks so much for the quick feedback; extremely helpful. Funny about Ben's comment because what I had not mentioned was that if I did choose blue I was going to ask them for one of the brown (light or dark) strap instead of black. Also, this would be my third really nice watch, and one has a whitish dial and the other one black (dress and sport), so the blue would fit my small collection, and be a nice cross dressy and "sporty".

As Daniel says, a real pic of the blue one would be great.

Thanks again to all of you. Great experience for my first ever post to this forum!

Mike, follow your heart! Go blue - you know you want it!

Put the brown Santoni strap on it, and you will not regret it.

Personally I would go the White. But the blue is also fantastic. You really can't make a bad decision with this. Whichever you choose will be a winner.
