New acquisition for the New Year

Just received this IWC Portuguese Regulator (IW544401).

New to me, like the New Year. I was enjoying this watch so much, I ignored my perpetuals on New Years Eve.

Now that is a gorgeous watch, major congratulations!

And the first reveal of 2016 ;-)

This is such a special watch, great: congratulations! It has both a lot of typically IWC beauty, and something audacious: just not mainstream, with those thick hour numbers and being a régulateur. I have stood a few times in front of a shop window of an AD looking at this watch, wondering whether I should buy it. I didn't, this is one of the watches where I feel some regret. Enjoy this beauty!

I have also had my eye on this one for a while. I love the clean lettering on the dial and all the space despite the subdials.

An opportunity finally came up and was able to take advantage of it. A rare bird these days. No regrets at all and well worth the wait.
