Wow, what an amazing story. It was a very special meeting last Friday and the only disadvantage of such a big group of collectors is that one evening isn't enough to talk to everybody. It was a great pleasure to finally meet you and Stephanie.

I'm glad to see Gio's watches end up in the collections of us, collectors and they don't go to strangers.

I am also honored to have one of Gio's watches in my collection now and it's time to write a reveal myself.

Skule: Same here, tears in my eyes when I read Marks reply. We're blessed to have such great friends and friendships through this amazing hobby called 'watch collecting'.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

    That's an amazing story Jarrod.

The journey of this watch to your wrist via Giovanni makes it even more special. Wear it in good health.

Special watch with a damn good recount from Mark. A nice result from a sad start.

Formers, I've shared this post with Schaffhausen (or rather - brought it to their attention given its actually on "their" Forum - the only watch manufactory to do this for their Colldctors), and the feedback was that they too are touched by this CF1 journey.

Thanks to all for recognizing how special my buddy Giovanni was!

That CFI couldn't go to a more committed and appreciative collector than Jarrod. It's a magnificent example. The 3227 should be in everyone's collection. The CFI is the best but I may be biased.

Thank you Ralph, appreciate the kind words.

    Congrats Jarrod,
A truly special watch and amazing story. I remember chatting with you last October when you very excitedly told me this story while you were still in Schaffhausen.

A tragic event and a very good conclusion. Well done my friend.

Thanks Mark. We forgot to get a shot of the two watches together!!!

Jarrod, what an incredible story, with the incredible journey for CFI #22. I know Giovanni is looking down and thinking it looks great on your wrist.

Nelson, ultimately a tragic way to acquire this watch but I am sure Gio is pleased with the end result. It is the ultimate reminder of a special person.

Will do Bob. And I'm tempted to get the bracelet for it.
