Here's the text describing this watch:
"Watch kindly loaned to the museum by a collector and friend of IWC”
It’s not often that a watch can tell an exciting story about its owners, but the timepiece belonging to Andreas Wiesemes is able to do just that. His pocket watch, originally sold on 11 December 1896 to IWC retailer A. Kohler from Leipzig, was a part of the IWC Marketing campaign called “The Gnomes of Schaffhausen” in the late 1960s and was often featured in catalogues from the same era. The watch was a gift from Andreas Wiesemes’ father, who had inherited the watch from a friend of the family named Albert Lotter. Lotter had previously inherited the watch from his own father in 1916, while serving as a combat pilot in World War 1. During the following years the watch and its owner witnessed the changing times during the 20th century in Saxony and Berlin. Even after all this time, the watch has not lost its legendary precision. Today, Andreas Wiesemes proudly keeps it in his collection, often thinking about all the things the watch has seen.
