    Hi,

It's my first post. I am a passionate watch lover, and have been able to collect some watches. I own a Pilot IWC Chronograph Ref IW370607 I bought 15 years ago and I love that watch and it has been a very good watch. I was traveling this past week and knew I was going to buy a new watch, to be honest I was going for a Panerai, but when I saw the Ingenieur Chronograph racer I fell in love, is a big watch as it was the Panerai I was looking to buy and it was a bit more expensive than the Panerai but I believe IWC is a great company and even though I own a IWC a no Panerais I could not let the chance go. I bought the one with the blue strap.

Now, I love the strap combining rubber and leather and own some straps from Hirsch that are the same combination and are waterproof, I use this straps on watches when Im traveling and want to swim with them. Do you know if the strap in The Ingenieur is Waterproof?

    Thanks,

    GM

Congratulations on a great watch and merry Christmas!
I'm using my Silberpfeil with the same strap always for swimming. No problem. Almost looks like new after 2 years!

Thank you, either way I just bought an IWC rubber strap for it. I just get nervous the leather will loose its looks.
