I have been sitting in front of my computer for the last few hours watching the countdown - then it hit 0 and I had to wait a little more, but man o man, that was worth waiting for, the new ingenieurs are sensational!!!!! The carbon performance is a must have this year, is going to be tricky trying to get 1 of those 200 in Australia, but I will be down to the dealer tomorrow to see what I can do!

The constant force tourbillon is absolutely sensational, great looks, simply stunning as is the digital perpetual - great work IWC, I dont know how you have done it, but I feel that this release eclipses last years sensational Pilot releases!

    Cheers,

    Ben

I'm excited to see the Silberpfeil in person -- I think I'm really going to like the silver dial version. Looks great in photos.

Indeed! If you liked the Silberpfiel, here's a close-up of the one I'm wearing right now:

Using my iPhone, I can't capture perfectly the metallic dial with perlage, intended to represent the metal on the cockpit dashboard of a vintage Silver Arrow car.

There are two versions, each limited to 1000. One will have a silver dial and black strap, and the other this brown dial with a brown strap. The strap also is special --more on that later.

What a great set of new Ingenieurs. Outstandig and refreshing designs all the way. Personal favorites are the Silverpfiel, the Constant-force Tourbillon and last but not least the Dual Time. That last on might be the one to start saving for....

Thanks for the photo Michael. The dial with perlage is stunning. Both versions are beautiful but I really love the silver. Looks like the dash of a classic roadster.

    Wow, it is really awesome!

Any idea when will it be distributed?

    Thanks for the photo, Michael.

    They are all magnificent.
If I look very closely on full magnification, I'm sure that dual time ref 3264 has my name all over it!

The new tourbillon is fantastic! Wow what a line up. At the same time I am glad that I got my 5005 last month as I do not see them on the site anymore. Well done IWC.

These new watches all look great. Michael's Silberpfeil looks amazing on the wrist, live pictures tell the story better, I think. Love to see many wrist shots, please gents, there at SIHH.

What is the movement of the Dual Time?

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Michael,

It seems that the straps on the new Inge rae attached differently. I see screws all the way to the outside of the strap. Can you comment on that? was wondering if they would work on the 5005?

Thanks as always for your pictures and reports.

Well, I went down to my AD yesterday to get the ball rolling on one of these - I know it will likely be month before anyone sees one but thought due to the limited numbers would get in early. Unfortunately, I am not going to hold my breath though.

As this is a limited run, my AD said it is very unlikely that we will see any of these (Ingenieur Carbon Performance) in Australia as there are no Boutiques or flagship stores and as such we get starved for any unique IWC's in Australia even though Richemont has a physical presence here. It really is a shame that IWC limits its distribution in this manner but all I can do is wait and hope . . . .

    Cheers,

    Ben

    I hear you Ben,

I went to my AD today with similar excitement and questions but, limited editions aside, they said it would be 9 - 12 months before they would have any of the new models available.
It's (rare)times like these that I bemoan living in the most isolated capital in the world!

Fortunately I have business in Hong Kong mid year and plan to be all over the flagship boutique in Kowloon like a bad smell!!

    Cheers

    Ben & Peter,

I understand what you're saying too. I remember two years ago having to wait ages for any sign of the new Portofino range down in Melbourne.

I'm contemplating an o/s holiday at the end of the year with a stop over in HK just so I can visit the flagship boutique again - only this time to make a purchase!

Belated Australia day greetings to both as well. :-)
