Thanks for the update. That watch has got to be a real " heavyweight" !!
I have tried on Larry Seiden's 5002 BP and it must be close in weight.
thanks for sharing Franz, here and on facebook.
Thanks! It looks great. I just imagine that you better get two and wear one on each wrist to stay in balance :-)
Kind regards,
Clemens
Thanks for sharing Franz. Very Limited Edition indeed, with good looks to boot!
Thanks for sharing... would love to see more photos of this one day if anyone catches one in the metal. And Franz, very much looking forward to the updates to your website- a true favourite resource of mine. Cheers, Thang
A very serious watch at a serious price.
Incidentally, has anyone kept count (on the Forum or even in Schaffhausen) the number of Big Pilot variants that have been issued?
Ralph,
I think we are at something like 26 versions with this one. But, it seems like an excellent project for a recently retired IWC watch lover to research and report on. LOL.
You need to come back to the US East Coast it's 100+ degrees and humid!
Regards,
Kevin
this great resource site by Franz keeps track of them, up to end 2011 I believe: www.fliegeruhr.ch/
thanks Franz for this great effort.
Thanks, Shing ... and Franz. An excellent website that is now bookmarked on my PC.
I have been quite busy the last 6 months an also had a technical problem so i could not update the site. But i made an update today with some Big plot limited editions. You can find all Bps i know now here:
www.fliegeruhr.ch/grosse_fliegeruhr.htm
The new 2012 Pilot Watches Collection is still missing on my site, but i will integrate them soon. If someone knows about limited editions that are still missing on the site please email me. Also if you have "real life" pictures of the watches that i can add. They are mostly more real that the catalogue pictures.
Franz,
It's a great site, thanks for the update. You are welcome to use any of my DFB BP pics if you need them.
Another nice lookimg variant of the BP. There will be 10 very happy owners.
Franz,

Alan, thank you, i will post some of your pictures on my site. They are really great an i always like real pictures of the watches and not only the photoshop pictures of the catalogues and press releases.
Franz and all,
What color would you call the numbers and hands? Is that Ecru?
Nice to see another BP coming out.
Do you think SC has his yet? I would love to see a real picture.
Franz, if you need pics of the Cellini or blue dialed Plat let me know.
Best,
Larry
Franz and all,
What color would you call the numbers and hands? Is that Ecru?
Ecru / Biege / Champagne ? despite the subtle differences among these colors - my guess is it is one or some of these, and in the metal the shade will be a tad different too.
In the description of the watch they say the color is beige.
