It depends on where you live, I've heard that the pilot watches (not all) will be in the US boutiques in April and then in the ADs a month or so later. I must say this is hearsay and I do not have anything official.
    Regards,
    Kevin

PS Keep checking the forum as it will be reported here as soon as one of the forum members spots one.

Got mail from IWC BTQ at Singapore a few days back , the price list for the new Pilot range has already been declared. However they are expecting watches to arrive by May. I guess within few days they will start appearing with local ADs too. Forum members can give you an update on US/European market.

Seang, if you have a model in mind, best to ask your AD for price and ask for them to check for delivery. We sometimes get to hear that x will be shipped in June to the US or Far East markets, as an example. This is not a place for IWC to publish their production or shipping schedules. I doubt you could Pre pay today for any model and last year certain markets had several rises of 10%. Best of luck with your chosen model, which is....?

Hi Greg,I was originally looking at the Mark XVII as my first IWC but after looking at the new Spitfire Chrono I think I would never be happy with the Mark XVII.I love the dial and finish on the Spitfire, it seems to be a far superior finish and also has the in house movement, hence the huge price increase.
For me my only concern is the size and depth of the watch as I have always been used to wearing much smaller dress watches, but I guess after wearing it for a while I'll get use to it very soon.
The Spitfire is 43mm with a depth of 15.5mm but I see on the IWC Site that a lot of the Portuguese are 45mm or more.
    Thanks.
    Sean.

    Hi Sean,

I won't worry about that if I were you - so far practically all those I know are very keen on the new models in the last several years, and who were hovering around the 40mm wristwatch size had their anxiety converted to obsession once they had their first 'large 43 to 45mm watch'.

afterall - how can so many people be wrong ???? :)

For those interested: I bought the new model pilot chrono 43mm with the steel bracelet at the iwc boutique in kuala lumpur,Malaysia on the 23rd of march.the price that I paid was 20,700 in Malaysian currency. This price included a % discount. The watch, according to the salesman, was the first of the new models to be sold in Malaysia.Official IWC
Boutique's are the first to receive the new models, with AD outlets at a later time, and of course, the imminent price rise in April.According to the shop from where I bought the watch, the price that I paid, represents a substantial saving on the soon to be increased % price hike. This is my first IWC watch, and though there are many pilot watches to be had on the watch market, most of them are in the size range of 40mm,which I think is too small for this type of timepiece.I like the fact that the bracelet isn't tapered, and resizing of the bracelet can be done at any point of the bracelets length. It's also an easy operation with the supplied tools. The pilot chrono is a nice looking watch, and a good substitute(notwithstanding it doesn't have the in-house caliber),to the heady price of the Big Pilot.Best wishes.Kenneth.

Congratulations Kenneth - the first forum member with a new 2012 pilots watch ? Is it the reference 3777 you have bought ? Since the spitfire chrono is also 43 mm. Post some pictures when you get the chance - its sure to create a lot of positive commentary.

Dear THOMASAA8. Yes the iwc is the latest IW377701. I walked into the iwc boutique to pass the time whilst waiting to get a taxi to KL international airport and left wearing the watch on my wrist. They had two of the new pilot chrono 43, the other being the leather strap model. Both were the first to be displayed for sale in Malaysia.and possibly Singapore. I'll try to get some photographs organised. Regards. Kenneth.

Hi SEADWELLER40, I'd be interested to know what inspired your choice of ss bracelet rather than leather strap. Was it the practicallity regarding the weather in Malaysia, fine adjustment capability, or the appearance?
