    Hello:

I have a week old Pilot watch and it is running about one minute slow in its first week. I have been taking it off at bedtime leaving it dial up and wearing it during the day. I am not overconcerned at it running a minute off but a minute off slow is a bit concerning. Should I continue to run it in for a month or so, or, call the A/D or New York? Thnks for the input.

    No need to worry>>>

it takes a few weeks for the watch to run in and settle down. Only losing one minute in a week is a very small deviation albeit it is preferred to be fast vs. slow. But, don't panic. Wait and it will settle in. Try putting the watch in different positions at night as well as it will gain or lose time in different positions.

If there needs to be an adjustment in a month or so, it is an easy thing to regulate the watch.

Thanks for the information. I agree with what you say and I will experiment with how I set it at night, has been in dial up, will try down for the next week and will post in another week.

When I dressed this am I noticed the watch was not running. Perhpas part of my issue was that I did not wind the watch fully. So I wound it again. I unscreded the crown pulled it out to the first position (the second being the calander and the third being the setting of the watch itself feature) I wound it 50 times or so, it's free wheeling so you do not get a winding sense. I then reset it and am off to week two. Have I wound this properly? Could this winding down have been the culprit in my watch running 50 seconds slow?
