Alan wrote about the lug sizes of the new in a recent post and stated it was 21mm, just the same as the regular chronos.
But I think it's 22mm because the case diameter of the Double is 46mm compared to 43mm for the Chrono. The BP also has 46mm in diameter and 22mm lug size.
And I've measured on screen: I just took the big image and resized it until it was 46mm on screen and then measured the lugs at 22mm.

Can anybody confirm or deny my observation?

That would be important to me again to know if the bracelet that fits the recent 3717 and 3718 would fit the new Double Chrono as well.
For me in summer I want to wear a watch with a bracelet or a rubber strap. And in case of a Double Chrono the rubber isn't appropriate.

For a final decision I have to wait until I see it physically on the wrist anyway but I love the look really. The absence of a bracelet option nevertheless would be a killer for me.

It's not the right bracelet but the Portofino SS 8 day is available with a bracelet and that has 22mm lugs. It's an answer but perhaps not the best answer you want.

Greg, are you sure? To my recollection the 8-day "only" has Santoni straps. It's the 21mm lug width chrono and automatic that have the mesh bracelet as an option.

    Tilo,

I specifically asked the product guys at the show about lug sizes. They consulted their data sheets and gave me the measurements I reported in an earlier post. I asked twice whether or not the chrono and double chrono were the same. I was told they were.
But I just measured my Carlson doppel which is a 46mm model and it has 22mm lugs.
So, either they got it wrong or they changed the lugs so all the straps/ bracelets fit both models.
    We will need to reconfirm.

I remember in the work book the page for Santoni straps and no other straps also showed the bracelet, which I presumed since the straps were 22mm was an option for a 22mm bracelet. If I am wrong then I stand corrected and my apologies. No work book to hand and no visits to AD for a few weeks as leg in plaster and can not drive....legally.

I saw the Milanese bracelet for the Portofino handwound eight days in the AD handbook, as I asked about it when I bought my watch. It could be ordered as an extra, not as an alternative to the Santoni strap.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Hi guys,

    thanks for your valuable information.
I checked in the current catalog: The Portofino Chrono has 20mm and the Eight Days 22mm lug width. But that Milanaise bracelet is definitely great for a Portofino and out of the right place for the new bold Double Chrono.

So I'll have to wait a little more time until the new watches are presented to the public in a place nearby. That might be in March or April.

The now recent Pilot's bracelet fits as well the 3717 Chrono as the 3718 Spitfire Double Chrono. Although the case diameter (and thus radius) is different by 2mm the bracelet fits the Double perfectly. That's why I've asked if the new bracelet is compatible with the recent one.
Maybe after some time there will be a 22mm bracelet for the new Double Chrono available.
