New to forum introduction

Hi all,

Just realised I broke my own rule.. Always think it is important to introduce myself to a forum before I ask a question and this time I find that I haven't done so..

So here goes, I am Tony.. I live in New Zealand.. I really appreciate the amazing machine that is a mechanical watch.. I have a had a dabble at fixing some old vintage parts watches with moderate success.. My introduction to the IWC brand started with what I have seen on a friends wrist.. and then of course I spotted the neglected vintage IWC at the second hand shop which led me here..

Tony, great to understand a bit more about your passion and how you got here.

From time to time our moderator (MF) runs a post "Introduce yourself" - but you were ahead of the curve here.

I like you also really enjoy the vintage IWC part of this hobby, and I look forward to seeing regular updates and posts on your collection as it materializes and grows.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. The knowledge base here will help me as I search out other vintage IWC watches. I do like some of the newer offerings from IWC but really appreciate the history and longevity of the vintage.
