New to IWC and question about a timepiece I acquired

Hello everyone. I've just recently acquired my first IWC after being a proud Breitling owner for about a decade. I liked the understated elegance of the Portofino and was looking something that was less of a "weapon" to wear while traveling.

I found a nice used Portofino 3513 in excellent running condition. I'm trying to find more info on the vintage of the piece before having it insured and serviced. The case # is 2588847. I've scoured the net and forum for the last couple of hours trying to find a serial # correlation, but could not find any.

Could anyone on this forum give me a hand or point me in the right direction?

According to the "date your IWC" applet your Portofino with serial number 2588847 was produced between 1993 and 1995.
In 1994, the prices for this watch in Germany were
- DEM 2.450,- (stainless steel with leather strap)
- DEM 3.350,- (stainless steel on steel bracelet)
- DEM 6.800,- (yellow gold with leather strap)
