Roberto,
The Perpetual has a smile on its own face too. You don't have to look hard to see it.

Btw, the material for the background behind the moondisk that represent the night stars is Aventurine. MF enlightened me on this subject some time ago.
Great event - and one I was sorry to miss!
And MISS I DID! I missed great IWC hospitality, missed great watches and missed out on seeing many good friends.
Look forward to the forthcoming Amsterdam GTG and hosting Bill on this side of the pond.
Thanks for a great report Bill, looks like a great time was had by all, the NYC GTG's really are starting to set the benchmark!
Fantastic report Bill and I must add the rest of the guys who chipped in with their photos of this wonderful gtg. I am sure you guys had a blast. I too, hope that we will have one gtg pretty soon in April in Singapore.
Gone green with envy. Would love to have seen that lot up close and meet old and new acquaintances. Come on IWC UK how about organising something? Ralph wouldn't have to use his air miles either!
Wow, this was one GTG that I really, really hated to miss! It looks like y'all had a great time despite the inhospitable weather...the camaraderie provided its own warmth. Thanks guys for a great report! Ms. D sends her best. Yesterday was her birthday and we celebrated amongst all the movie people congregated in downtown Austin for the SXSW Festival!
Great photos there. It was a lot of fun. Good to spend time with you gentlemen.
More amazing photos, this is a great "thread" with spectacular timepieces and passionate collectors, a winning combination!!!!!!!
Wow guys, looks like amazing times were had!
Sorry Bill, unfortunately my calander does not allow me to be in Amsterdam April 1st, so I won't join.
Also, I am not posting lately because I am in New Zealand with very very limited access to an internet connection. Next (and first) acces to an AD will be in Wellington, will post pics when there.
Cheers!
Splendid GTG photo report rally - handing over the baton from Bill to Alan to Kevin with seamless skill. I really love these posts.
Bill these are great shots and really capture the spirit of the event. Events like this evening demonstrate that IWC really is the best company when it comes to support of the collector community. I think we are in store for some exciting times ahead!
Regards,
Dan
Excellent report and great pictures! Looks like you guys had a great time! Thanks for sharing.
I dont have much add here other than than to reinforce what a wonderful time was had by all. This is an intensely personal hobby that we share, which makes brand-sponsored events such as these all the more important; putting faces to the names of fellow collectors and getting to know the people who bring us these marvelous mechanical wonders serves to reinforce the connection that we all feel toward our watches and to one another.
For my part, particularly now that I've been in this game as long as I have, it's the connections that I make with my fellow collectors that keep me coming back for more. Yes, the new Inges are fantastic, and yes, there was some serious arm candy in situ, but for me the best part about the weekend was seeing Kevin, Bill, Alan and Evan again, as well as finally meeting "Rave", "Ardoise" and Dick et al (it goes without saying that Patrick, Liana, Badr, Robert, Gianfranco, Maria and Arnaud always bring a smile to my face).
Anyway, all this to say that there's a reason that I love IWC, and it has as much to do with people who surround the brand as it does with the watches that brought me here in the first place.
Regards
Adam
Besides the GTG photos, that Perpetual has really struck me. Never seen this one before. What a beautiful watch! Thanks for sharing the pictures guys.
Which Perpetual strikes your fancy? Several were floating around the GTG.
Great GTG!
Many congratulations, everyone. You certainly had fun! Thanks for sharing.
