Today, the NYC IWC GTG team, Kevin and yours truly, gathered together once again to welcome a visiting forum member. We hosted none other than Anders J., aka Telecaster, to the IWC Flagship Boutique. Anders is in the USA for a family holiday. Kevin met Anders this year at SIHH, but I had not had the opportunity to do so until today. It was a privilege to meet both Anders and his son for a few hours of watch talk and a nice lunch before the guests hurried off to JFK for their return flight home. Anders is training his son to be a watch aficionado. At nineteen he is learning quickly.
Here are the requisite people shots before we get into the IWC stars for the day.

Anders relaxing before the watches came out.

Kevin relaxing, but knowing he has a business meeting in a few hours.

The father and son team.
Inspection time for some special IWC’s

The TriBeCa vampire.

The Ingenieur Constant Force Tourbillon.
Now for a very special IWC:

The Portuguese Sidérale Scafusia. When told the price, Ander’s son indicated he might have to work a couple of summers to afford this one.
In honor of our missing GTG team member Alan, Kevin and I wore blue dialed IWC’s for our show and tell. Three of the eight Laureus series were present and accounted for on the heavy metal table shot.

Our IWC’s for today’s GTG included:

As we were getting ready to head out to lunch, we did a group shot with wristwatches showing:

The IWC Boutique staff was once again a great host. They took time to bring out some very special IWCs and they made sure we were welcomed as usual. Thanks to Alan Hsing, Sales Associate, who watched over us for several hours. Thanks too to IWC for hosting the Collectors’ Forum that makes all of this possible. It’s the friendship we will carry with us for life. If anyone will be traveling to NYC in the future, contact either Kevin or me. We are always happy to host our friends from the Forum.
Cheers from the NYC GTG team: Kevin and Bill
