I think it is no doubt that this is one of the Best blue dial I have ever own!

But life is funny, when something grail comes along you wish you could own it all but I hardly wear it. It is hard to let this go.......

Does anyone have the same experience?

As we say in the Netherlands: het bezit van de zaak is het einde van het vermaak (the possession of the thing is the end of the fun). I have the same with my yellow gold Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, it is a great watch, but since my retirement I see no real opportunity to wear it, I almost forget about it. I will not sell it though, I don't need that money for something else and it doesn't take a lot of space to store. So, indeed, it's life, it is what makes someone a collector maybe, accumulating stuff that one doesn't need. This is quite a luxury problem, making one feel a bit guilty when watching the news.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

It is great to see another xxx/270 owner posted here and It is really a stunner.

Unless I can find another great IWC collector to pass it on.....that will satisfy the grail that he/she might have. It is a cycle for this hobby.

It's no surprise that particular Big Pilot Perpetual combo was an instant seller and still in great demand: red gold + radiant blue + perpetual module + petit prince highlights.

    Definitely one of the best!

Reminds me of a quote from the movie "Lord of War" that goes "There are two types of tragedies in life. One is not getting one you want, the other is getting it."

I've certainly felt this feeling before but luckily I not with my IWC yet!

Do you look at the watch every day? What if you were to put it away for a few weeks or months and then take it out to look at it then - would that help to restore the "wow" factor? Out of sight out of mind time of thing.

This is more like a safe queen as you can see from the date.

    Hi Victor,

You are absolutely right on the Color combo and the applied numerals. That is what attracted me at onset.
