    Hi everyone,

Just back from a short trip home to Singapore, where I met two other forummers and two other collectors for a get together, among other things.

Sad to see the forum wrecking - and thanks Michael and others working behind the scenes to undo the damage.

Here's a repost of an earlier post that was deleted by the forum-cleanup:

further to these two posts from SC and Erwin, here are a few more pics of the Siderale last Saturday afternoon, having had the good fortune to be invited by Gary and Zack to preview this incredible piece in red gold.

    getting close:

Overall, the Siderale is a wonder to be near and be worn and held. I am pleasantly surprised by just how wearable it is.

Its a big watch, although the Leica lens makes it looks bigger. The integrated Santoni strap (unnecessarily - in my opinion), accentuates its size, curving/bending around a (smaller) wrist rather than wrapping tightly around it. The watch sits high at 17mm I believe – and the back with the star chart complication takes up a fair bit of height.

The size also permits a tourbillon so clearly and aesthetically gripping, that can be seen from a few feet away - sensational !

Overall, a very magical hour with the Portuguese Siderale. I look forward to seeing the platinum piece in the metal !

    Shing,

That is some serious hardware in one place. Looks like quite the experience.

Great photos. Thanks Shing. The Siderale makes the Portuguese Grand Complication look rather modest.

Those were some of the best closeups of the Siderale that I've seen...thanks for posting such a comprehensive 'look' at this beautiful watch!
