I did post this picture in the post from Cinq with the new moon wristshot.
But I have got the question to post some more in a new post.
Here it is again, and I managed to make some pics of the caliber.
I believe a sight that is not often seen here on the forum.
It is cal 795, a manual chrono with colum wheel.

    It's a Valjoux 88 (VZHCL).

Here's a (generic) picture of the calendar module:

IWC at its best. Thanks for sharing Tonny. I believe the 3710 was the very first moonphase watch produced by IWC .....wristwatch style that is.

The very same case with the Valjoux 88 was sold under various brand names, now Baume-Mercier comes to my mind but a couple of others were available. A platinum version was also available. I do not know about steel or other gold versions.
    Best,
    Robert

    Unique bit of IWC history...

I want to see this one in the steel sometime.

Having a 6.75" wrist I still prefer 39-42 mm watches to today's averages. I have some interesting features for this model but cannot put it down, being not IWC-related, so sort of off topic.

To Roberto ; I believe this gold case was the only IWC model made with this caliber. Maybe other brands used the cal 88 too, but for IWC it was only this once. So no IWC versions in steel or platinum. Only this limited run of 150.

I seem to remember a platinum (or white gold?) version IWC branded limited series too but I'm not sure. In the meantime I've found a steel version Minerva branded too and YG Tourneau. I speak strictly about the same watch case - VJ88-s with various case shapes were available in a way wider variety of brands.

Hi Roberto, please if you find the platinum ( or white gold ) IWC you believe there was, post it here. The only platinum from around that era was the Amalfi chrono, ref 3703.
About the interesting features you do not want to post here because off-topic, I am always pleased if you send them to my email.
    Thanks.
