Can anyone advise whether it is possible to obtain IWC-genuine leather straps for my Mark XII (ie. 18mm)? Or does one have to go after-market now? Thanks.

IWC always could deliver spare parts for its watches, though I am not sure this is true for straps. I would give an AD a call, following the motto that you have no and can obtain yes.
