Dear forum friends
Late this afternoon I had the pleasure to represent the IWC Collectors Forum to offer a special gift to Jacqueline Rose.
Already we had offered a literary tribute in a dedicated post and Jacqueline had also posted an emotion filled message to us on the 30.04.2008 (I added this message after my sign off signature).
Peter had the idea that we could do something even more special and personalised to demonstrate with additional emphasis our special relationship with Jacqueline - and as a result he delgated (he must be a top manager) to me the task which I accepted spontaneously with pride.
After contacting many of the regular forum active participants and asking for the message to be spread socially - which then nicely expanded to the German forum - special thanks to Jan - we were together able to collect a considerable sum for our project.
Our decision was to contribute financially to a significant garden project that Family Rose are currently undertaking.
This led to the personal handover of the Gutschein (gift voucher) today which via the subtle skill of Olivia Fraude ensured a maximum surprise effect. As I walked into Jacquelines ofice the look in her eyes was one of sheer pleasure and surprise. Responding to a question based around - what am I doing here - and jokingly offering her my cv for a key role in her WATCH International team - we swiftly got the real reason - which was to offer Jacqueline on behalf of the IWC Collectors Forum a special gift from the bottom of all our hearts.
(For anyone who feels they missed out on the option to contribute to the Rose Project - dont worry. Just contact me for details how to contribute and I will start another collection that I will give directly to the Garden architect firm).
It was also wonderful to catch up with Jacqueline to hear all about her ambitions for WATCH in the future. Some of the concepts are indeed very innovative and even in a short time it was amazing to see how much she is mastering her new role.

FAREWELL
Dear Collectors,
The time has come for me to say my goodbyes. I can look back on ten very intensive years, during which I had the chance to learn, experience, build up and change a great deal.
Something very dear to my heart has always been the direct contact with those people who have a passion for IWC watches. It has always been extremely interesting for me to find out what made them tick, what interested them and how we could improve things. I should like to offer my sincere thanks for their invaluable input and inspiration, as well as their openness and, not least, their enthusiasm. Behind their names – or nicknames in many cases – are the many interesting individuals who have made the Forum what it is today. The personal interaction with them at our events was always an inspiration for me.
The greatest challenge currently facing me in private life is juggling a job and my family. After several years as the mother of two small children, I have decided to ease back on my career. This means I will be giving up my position as Head of this department and devoting myself in future to our customer magazine, WATCH International. My successor, Karoline Huber, will be taking over the department as of May.
I sincerely wish you all the best and many more hours of pleasurable discussion about our watches. Needless to say, I will be visiting the forum regularly to keep up to speed with developments in the IWC collectors' world.
Which means we will at least remain virtually connected.
Very best regards
Jacqueline Rose
