For two days sandwiched between the London and Geneva trips, we stopped over in Munich for Oktoberfest celebrations at the invitation of Richemont Northern Europe (read Panerai, LOL):

Arriving in Munich:

At the Marienplatz just after check-in:

With Andreas! Some of you may remember when he used to work at Bucherer and would show me some amazing IWC timepieces. He is still selling watches, but he moved over to the that other "P" brand when the Boutique opened, LOL!!!!!!!!!

Time for lunch, cheers!!!!!!!!!

The famous Nürnberger Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut und bier, yummmmmmy!!!!!!!!

At breakfast the following morning:

My bratwurst and beer for breakfast and Houda's coffee, LOL!!!!!!

More beer for lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I resisted, I broke down and bought the traditional Lederhosen and Houda got a Dirndl. You know the expression, "When in Rome.........." Hahaha

At the Hippodrom:

Appetizers that go well with the beer!!!!

Cheers!!!!!!!!!!

Roasted duck for dinner:

More beer!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't really say how much beer we consumed in two day, but I stopped counting after the second one at lunch on the first day!!

talk about fun food and festivities ! Great report Nad. I was fortunate enough to imbibe in the festivity food and beer so this is greatly missed.

Really wonderful Nad! This year I also was in Munich that time and used the chance to go with my partners to Theresienwiese as well:

I didn't make it to Theresienwiese this year, so I am grateful for the news folks! :o) And talking about food and drinks... I am getting thirsty and hungry as well, just to look at the pictures :o)

If I were traveling with you, no matter where we went to eat, ordering would be so easy. I would just say, " I'll have what he's having "

And Nad....Don't ask me why, but I think the MiraMar w/green fabric strap would be a good match with the lederhosen. A real fashion statement !
