I was reading on another site about a chap who had sent his personal watch to a well known watch enthusiast and photographer in order to have it photographed.
Has anybody else ever considered this, with their own watch? It would be a great way to meet other forum members. There seems to be no end of forum members who are happy to photograph their treasures either at home or on their wrist. Something a little different might be nice.

I would never send my watches to anybody
Certainly when watches should be photographed, I do that myself with a more or less satisfactory result, and the cost/benefit ratio in terms of risk forbid it to do otherwise (sorry guys, what you get should be good enough). The only exception is when, sadly, a watch has to be repaired or maintained. I then deliver the watch in person at the AD and hope that transportation is done in a professional way, as is done with the new watches that arrive at the AD.

I would rather be there and watch the photographer in action. I might even learn something that way :-)

as you say, it is a nice way to meet people.
But I'd rather prefer taking the photos myself after attending a course. Taking my own photos is part of the fun (for me).
But it is a nice idea.
