    Hi all,

This is my first post- but I have been browsing this excellent forum for a few weeks while trying to make my decision, and it has been very helpful!

We are in Europe for a few months for work (Amsterdam), and my lovely wife pointed out that there were a couple of vintage watch dealers in the centre of the city (she knows what I'm into). I have long been an IWC fan, and remember visiting Schaffhausen in 1996 just after finishing school while backpacking around Switzerland.

Anyway, I found a lovely Mark XV during my foray into the vintage dealers, which had just arrived on the day I came in- so was not yet advertised/ photographed etc, which resulted in a saving for me! I asked them to put it on hold, but my mind was made up from the first time I saw it. It is on black buffalo leather, with the deployant clasp, and is marked T-Swiss-T, so I'm assuming it is tritium and from earlier in the series (forgot to write down the case number). Subsequently, they had a Mark XVI come in, and so today I went in to make a final decision- suffice to say the decision was made fairly quickly, although the XVI was quite a lovely watch as well.

Although it has just been serviced, and comes with the original box, there were no papers/ user manual. I've searched the forum, but the links to the manual from previous posts are no longer active. If anyone has a copy in PDF form, I would really appreciate it if you could pass it on.

I'd love to post a picture for you guys, but the watch it boxed up and wrapped up for my birthday next month (there was no arguing on that point), but I'll update with the obligatory shots when it is unwrapped.

    Thanks

    Remi

Congratulations, I look forward to seeing the pictures in a month. At that time we can also wish you a Happy Birthday.

Hi, Remik! Welcome! Unfortunately I can't help you with the manual - but I will be happy to see your new watch and wish you a happy birthday.

    Thanks very much Greg,

Now I can get reading in anticipation- not sure what you meant by 170km away- I'm still in Amsterdam!

    Thanks again

    Hi Remi,

This is how the Forum displays your details to me.

Maybe the software needs a service!

    Cheers from the cellar
