For comparison, another similar calibre 67 from 1936.

    Thank you, Zokitzar

It has been for the 'spa treatment' in Schaffhausen ...

    Hi Roberto

I did not replace the dial and believe it to be genuine - though, of course, I do not know and cannot tell what previous owners may have done over its first 65 years ...

    Hi Zokitzar

I have never seen an IWC pocket watch with a screw-on rather than snap-on back. The Ingenieur pocket watches might have had their backs screwed on but as far as I am aware, all other IWC pocket watches had either hinged or snap-on backs (leaving aside the Borgel cases, where the whole movement is screwed into the case but those look very different).

    Hi

the deck watches with center seconds (calibers 52 and 71) had screw-on backs.

    Thats very interesting MF.

As your post proves, there were all types of cases backs in existance and shipping from Schaffhausen in the early days already. I wonder if our fellow forumers know/realise that even glass case backs existed way back then on the pocketwatches!

    That's a really nice timepiece!

Love those blue hands and the patina on that dial.

    Really appreciate your sharing it.
