    Dear forummers

Does anybody know whether Ref. 516102 is also available with a folding clasp?

Or is it possible (or even necessary) to change the whole strap?

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hello Chris
If the watch is delivered from IWC with a pin buckle, then that is going to be the only option at the time you purchase the watch. You would have to purchase a new strap as they are a differnt length for deployant clasps. First you would have to find out the lug size and then search for another IWC watch with the same size lugs that does come with a red gold deployant clasp. Then you could order the strap and clasp from an AD. I do know that there is a Santoni strap for a 22mm lug size available for a deployant clasp so you may be in luck!

    Hi Chris,

I know there is a SS deployant available that fits the Santoni for the same lug width (22mm) as I tried one on my 5101 at an AD last year.

We didn't swap to the shorter strap, which Ben notes is more appropriate for the deployants, and while it was a little longer the length difference wasn't terribly noticeable.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't available in RG too.

    Cheers

    Peter
