Portugieser Chronograph - new caliber?

Hello,
This year I was planning to make my first investment in IWC, I stopped on IW371445, compared them to IW500704 but despite of multiple pros latter has I prefer vertical chronograph placement in IW3714 series.
Being sure in my choice I almost made a deal with AD in Switzerland when the last week IWC introduced anniversary series IW3716 with in-house 69355 movement and sapphire back case which I would really like to see in 3714...
My doubts are in lacquered finish and black painted letters in IW371402 and what's hardly less important - if I can get a discount there considering they are limited.

Am I right guessing that this year we can expect a renewed Portugieser Chronograph series with this new caliber and nice transparent back and it makes sense to wait a bit?
What do you think on that?

Tough choice...but I would personally go for the 3714 until is still in production- perfect size and applied numbers. Ok the new in-house caliber, but now the watch case is slightly thicker and the movement does not seem really a looker...so I would stick with the old one!

I am not a fan of this lacquered finishes. So personally I would wait too.
