I got recently the amazing Portuguese Automatic 5001 black dial. I have a small wrist, the original band was quite big for me, I exchanged the band to extra small and still the buckle and the band closes quite high and long close to the watch, since one side of the band is very long and the other is short, I was told by the dealer that there is no other solution. I feel that the watch looses it luxurious look and feel.

I wonder if anyone has any solution for small wrist with a proper band size that not too long in one side ???

if you have tried the original IWC XS straps and deployant to no avail, then I think the only solutions are:

    • to customize make straps of your preferred lengths, or
    • switch to a pin buckle - but that will also mean a change of straps, and also purchasing a pin buckle from IWC.

Have you already tried swapping the long and short end to the other side of the watch? Sometimes this is more comfortable. There is an easy test, strap the watch on with the dial 180 degrees rotated (6 o' clock at the top).

    Kind regards,

The pin buckle version strap for your watch has more even lengths.
    Your XS strap is 125mm X 45mm
The XS pin buckle strap is 105mm X 65mm
It will fit on your deployment buckle and be much more centered.
