Recently it was asked on the forum about the difference between two black dialled steel Portuguese chronos, so I answered that one ref number referred to pin buckle and the other referred to deployment or as some say deployant.
When I checked on the collection the 3714 all appear to have new suffix numbers, are the new numbers purely down to this change of buckle type or are there other changes that have slipped under the radar?

Interesting question. Reference numbers have changed in the past when something was upgraded in the movements. I'm sure MF can spread some light on this.

    Greg,

I just realized that I was supposed to get you an answer to this question. Sorry, it slipped through the cracks.
Maybe MF can bail me out?

Alan, sorry from you is not necessary. Everyone was in pilot mode! So questions on other subjects could easily be missed, however you did answer the Santoni strap question that IWC currently have no plans to expand the range. Greatly appreciate your work that you and MF did for us home stayers.
