Hello to all! Need someone's help or maybe just someone had the same experience. I got an IWC Portuguese Chrono-Automatic watch(steel version with gold hands and numbers - 371401). I've always thought and this is what a seller told me(official dealer that is listed on this site) - that both numbers and hands are made of rose
gold. I've never been a yellow gold guy, so I liked that fact. But
now, when I wear this watch and I look at it - from some angles it looks like hands are rose gold, while numbers are just regular yellow. I don't know if it's just a vision effect or what, but I was wondering if anybody may have something to say about it. Will really appreciate your thoughts.

Its probably the ar that is changing the colour...

of the hands and arabics. As you say, at different angles it does have an effect.
I have the same watch and it is stunning.

    Both are rose gold....

The hands and indices are RG on the model that you referred to. The effect you're getting comes from the angle and the lighting (incandesent or flourescent) where you're viewing it.

What you're seeing is normal. The picture I have attcahed shows the numbers and hands to be YG, but in reality they are RG. Enjoy the watch and wear it in good health.

    About the ar

I have a portuguese chrono-automatic in stainless steel, and I experience the same yellow tint. Check out my post "why blue is the new black" for a more detailed discussion on the anti-reflective coating and its coloring effects.
