This month those of you that have the privilege of owning a Kurt Klaus designed perpetual IWC have been able to profit from a greater ROI, than those who have acquired one after the 1st of March this year.

Not only that, but you will experience something (and probably already have started to experience it, without noticing or knowing it.....)

This year March has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays
    .

I am told that this happens only once every 823 years (can anyone confirm).

    Enjoy....

I knew there was a reason other than the beautiful looks, solid white gold case, ardoise dial, cleverly designed and implemented perpetual calendar, 7 day power reserve, folding clasp and crocodile strap that made me buy a PPC :)

Just checked a calendar and months with 31 days seem to have 3 consecutive days which occur 5 times in a month. Or am I missing something in Mark's post?

    Mark,

I think speeding along in Giovanni's car has affected your senses. That calendar for March repeats in March 2019 and again and again every five or six years. LOL

Well - I did get your attention, and DID ask if someone could "confirm" - LoL

So now that we have many of you checking the calenders...

    1) Hope I gave some of you an extra motivation to take another good look at your PPC
    2) I definitely wanted to beat Roberto to for once - Happy early 1st April folks
    3) And of course to stay on topic, least I fall afoul of forum rules - I share my Bluebird with all here.

    You guys are so skeptical!

    Mark,

This is the actual calendar you wanted to post, right?

Loved your blue PPC since the start, my friend :)

I don't have a PPC, but would be perfectly happy if all the forum PPC owners followed Mark's lead and posted photos. I can at least look at the pictures!

I think every month should have 5 weekends.

Great post and lovely watch Mark! I couldn't resist to check it either and see that August 2014 also has five Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays!

Yesterday I saw a documentary about creativity, mind activity and stuff like that and there is an American that can calculate in a few seconds what day a certain date is. And not just for recent dates but well back in to the past and way in the future, for example the year 7000 and something. It's not an achievement I am going to master and I wonder if my Portuguese Perpetual Calendar Pisa will still function then (if IWC would be so kind to provide more Century Slides).

For now, I just have to rely on the genius of Mr Kurt Klaus and check what my watch is showing.

I would say about once in seven years March 1st will be on a Friday, certainly on the long run. And I guess the printed calendar gives a clearer view on the five Fridays, Saturdays an Sundays in one month than the perpetual calendar watch. But of course, I rather look at that amazing watch!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

What better time to share a photo of a PPC than when the full moon is here -

It will happen again in 2019, so in response to the thread topic, I certainly hope not! :P
